Sometimes when the paint drys out, it seems like there are dust and sand on the paint. This is mostly seen in the high gloss paints.

Causes

Usage of dusty appliances and cans,

Not wiping the wall before painting,

Dusting the area before the paint is fully dry

How to Solve

Wait for few days until the paint is fully dry, then lightly sandpaper the wall.

Then wipe the wall with a damped sponge. Wait for complete drying and then apply a coat of paint. The brush or roller you are using must be clean. If using synthetic based paint the brush or the roller should be washed with thinner before using. But before starting to paint, the brush or the roller must be dry.
